Just wondering about system idle processes

Did you click the procsses tab.
Should be all the way at the bottom. |
If it's not in there, there's something very wrong with your system...
You need to make sure it's there. You can sort the tasks by name by clicking on the "Image Name" heading. |
Hi, thank you both for the responses.. Now this morning its in my processes tab in task manager.... All day yesterday it wasn't even in there. I didnt think it was good that *System Idle Processes*, and *System* both were not in their yesterday.... Well all seems good..
Any ideas of why it wasnt in there? Just wondering. My computer has been running find ever since i put a total of 1 gig of ram in. And thats been almost a year ago:) |
You ever see the anti-tobacco ads with the sign "WUDDAFUXUP"? Thats what happened...
The system idle process manages your processing cycles that aren't being used for actual work. Without it your OS wouldn't know when the processor was being used or not since it would have unscheduled cycles... that is a very very bad thing. |

But when I look in PROCESS EXPLORER its there..... What if I right click and choose END PROCESS TREE on that, what would happen? (I havent ever tried it) |
Your house would explode.
