Help Please 2 Problems
Hi I have two issues.
1) I have one external dvd player burner works fine. 2 Internal dvd/cd players - writers do not work. They worked fine before Wednesday, we went to watch a dvd and could not play the dvd on either of the internals. When you go to the drive with a DVD in the player it shows nothing in there. They also will not burn dvds now only cds, I know this because I needed to burn a data dvd disk and it only showed cd. For the life of me I can not install netframework 3.5 I have tried and tried and I have researched this and tried to fix it but cannot so far. If anyone can or would please help me fix these issues I would greatly appreciate it. Thank You |
For you DVD/CD drives. Read the direction, download & run this small file.. http://www.dougknox.com/xp/scripts_d...cd_dvd_fix.htm
For net framework 3.5 make sure you have all of the lower versions installed & try turning off your A/V while installing it.. Don't forget to reboot to turn your A/V back on.. |
Hi w1che,
If ok can we work on one thing at a time? I did as you said for the dvd/cd drives, I now am showing DVD/CD-RW Drive for both and they still do not play a dvd. So we are one step ahead, I did this through administrator rebooted. I also reinstalled my win dvd 4 cd Any other ideas on it? Thank You Quote:

What program are you trying to play DVD's with? In windows explorer can you see the disk in the drives? Can you play CD's?
|
Hi w1che, I had an emergency in home that took me offline for a few days sorry about that.
Please see my answers to your questions below. 1) What program are you trying to play DVD's with? WinDVD4 - Windows media player - Real Player 2) In windows explorer can you see the disk in the drives? I cannot see a DVD in the drive only CDs are seen. 3) Can you play CD's? Yes I can access any data cds and also play music cds in them. Thanks for your help and again I am sorry I was off line for a while. On the other NetFramework issue I have found out I have up to 2.0 but am unable to get the 3.0 to install. |
