No Sound on Windows 10 Lenovo Thinkpad

My Lenovo ThinkPad X1 tablet running Windows 10 was working fine until yesterday (or maybe the day before), when I noticed a red "x" by the Speaker icon in the System Tray. I went to Device Manager and found this under System Devices:

A yellow triangle with "!" by Intel(R) Smart Sound Technology (Intel(4) SST) Audio Controller

When I double click on it, under General, in Device Status window it states:

This device cannot start (Code 10)

STATUS_DEVICE_POWER_FAILURE

I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the driver, but the problem persists. Is there any other fix options to this issue?

Additional Info

When I uninstall and reinstall the driver and reboot my computer, it comes back with the yellow triangle with the "!" on the same Audio Controller.

But the Device Status message shows:

Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43)

I have also tried to disable and re-enable the device to no avail.

Hey bhopal,

Here's a video on some things you can try.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k5o67xUbw3c

The Code 43 normally means it's a Hardware problem.

What did you mean by " disable and re-enable the device"?
Did you get into the BIO's CMO's Settings and turn off and on the AUDIO chipset?

Or if you can....
Try a stand alone copy of linux, and see if the audio works with that.
If it does, then there is an issue with the latest set of audio drivers that you have.
You might want to try an older set of audio drivers to see if that it will work.

If you still have no audio.
Check your warranty, and contact Lenovo about repair or replacement.

Thanks, I finally got it fixed. I uninstalled all sound drivers, shut the computer off, turned it back on, scanned for hardware changes and finally the red "x" was gone and I have sound again.
