How to Install an old Lanier 5265 Printer on W10

Its a massive office printer from 15 years+ ago and has been working on XP via IP port

Now have upgraded to W10, I need some advice on what to do !!

Have you tried Compatability mode in Windows 10?

Not sure what u mean about CM - I know how to run an exe file in CM

What exe file were you meaning - as I cant find anything to download from the Lanier site ??

You said you have been using that printer with XP so I thought you had the exe file for it.

Yep, that was the xp exe file

There is a Win7 64bit version which I downloaded and ran in compatibility mode, but couldn't get it to recognise the printer via TCP/IP

Its a minefield

Just to clarify - 15 year old printer connected via ethernet cable from router

Used to work with xp on 192.168.1.67

Now W10 doesn't seem to have a driver and the various avenues to go down setting up an IP printer are many and varied, so might have lost my way ?

Ipconfig /all didn't pick up a printer - not sure how you would clarify where it is at ??

Go to devices and printers, add local printer, select standard TCP/IP Printer, enter IP, then port of 10001, tick query and next and see what you get from there. If you get no where just click cancel.

You may have to use Compatibility mode on the EXE you download for Win10/64 print-drivers.
