Issues installing GeoForce 9500 GT Help !

I am running a Packard Bell 354
XP home (sp3)
With Pentium (R) Duo 2.80 ghz
1.5 ram

I currently have ATI Radeon xpress 200 on my motherboard and am trying to install 9500 gt so I can play better games.

I have been struggling with it all day and its got to a stage where if I boot up with the new card in the PCI slot the computer will not boot past the xp screen.
If I take the card out , it boots fine.

Any ideas would be really appreciated.

Thanks

Remove all ATI drivers before you install it.

Does the XP screen come up at all? Are you plugging the monitor into the new card?

Thanks...

I had indeed forgotten to switch the monitor cable (amongst other things)
You gave me a little 'nudge' of logic that over rode frustration.
GTA4 and Assassins Creed are running like ******* now!

Thanks again !
