Downloadable DOS Boot Disk

Sorry if this isn't the right forum. I didn't know which was best.

I have tried all the Windows XP recovery attempts to no avail. I can't get Safe Mode to come up or get to a DOS prompt. I tried a Puppy Linux CD (suggested from another forum) but it can't see the hard drive. (Not much memory to run in). I just want to try and get my pictures and music off the disk then trash it.

Is there a site I can create a DOS boot disk so I can run DOS and copy the files I want to an external drive? Thanks for any input.
