The woes of cloning to SSD's

Hello.

I'm a computer tech and due to the significant decrease in cost of SSD's, I've been upgrading a lot of computers to a ssd. The issue is, the dismal results in trying to clone to a ssd.

Using a Samsung ssd with Samsung's cloning software is a very simple process and works 100% of the time. However, I've been able to get other brands of ssd's for half the price of the Samsungs, so I've been using those lately.

The Samsung cloning software only works with a Samsung ssd, so for the other drives, I've been using Macrium, AEOMI, and EaseUS. I've tried cloning to a smaller ssd with these programs dozens of times, but the cloned ssd rarely ever boots. I've used the standard known methods of running the startup repair, manually rebuilding the bcd, converting the drive to mbr or gpt, changing the boot from eufi to legacy, etc, but those methods rarely work.

I don't get how the Samsung software works every time for cloning, but the others don't. Are any of you having similar issues, and can you suggest an alternate cloning program?

I have cloned to a Samsung SSD using their software, and it was simple enough. I have also cloned to a PNY, and a Intel SSD using Easeus, and a paid for program called Casper.
Never had a problem with any of them.

Thanks for the reply.

I checked out Casper and am looking forward to trying it out on my next clone.
