Can't get my printer to work.

Hi,

When I select print, the printer does not print. My printer shows up as an installed device, but nothing happens.

did it ever work? what printer model? what operating system? wifi or wire?

It worked up until about 2 weeks ago. I've had the printer for many years, without issues. It's a Brother MFC-290C and it's wired to the computer. Operating system is Windows 10.

Is it set as DEFAULT Printer?

Search type in Control Panel then click on the app. Double click on Devices and Printers

Find your printer is it set as DEFAULT? (Will have a green check mark on it).
If not right click on it and Set as default

Argo,

It describes your problem can occur, with one of Windows 10's latest updates.

It also has a link on the page.
As too how you can temporarily get your printer working again,
till Microsoft comes out with an update that doesn't cause your printer not to work.

Problem solved...uninstalling one of the updates did the trick. Thanks for the help.
