Double Side Printing

I am using a HP LaserJet P1102w printer connected to my Win 7 computer with a USB cable. When I down load and print I just started to get a message that wants to double side print which I do not want. In the Task MAnager a print on both sides command appears. I've uninstalled the printer and reinstalled it with the printer driver from the CD. However the message still comes back. The print on both sides feature in the PRinter Preferences is NOT checked. I want to stop it because it wastes a sheet of paper each time.

You may already know this but just in case:
According to this HP support page, under the subheading, "How do I turn off duplex printing," after unchecking the duplex option, you must also check "User specified print settings."
