Stringing video clips together

I have created three video clips with Windows Movie Maker. Is there a way to put them together so there is a smooth transition from one to the next with out the "jump" to the next?

If your software has a fade function fast fade out then fast fade in at each clip join. should just get a tiny smooth interval between clips..

I much prefer "Olive video editor" open source and a professional editor that is well supported by the development team..

I've used the DOS copy command to join a number of .mp4 files without any problem.
