Well, I expected to see a lot of bad stuff on your system, but the scans you already ran seem to have cleaned things up there. And actually what renegade600 posted was in the ballpark of the needed fix. Follow the steps here to change what program opens tiff files on your system.

I am not sure what changes the SP4 software you have there makes. Microsoft Security Essentials on your system should be showing red, and no longer updating. Is that what is happening on your system?

Thanks for the diagnosis. If you think that the SP4 program is not needed, let me know. I am using XP professional and the Security Essentials is no longer supported.

Never tried the SP4 software, so no answer on that. After you uninstall Security Essentials and reboot, you can download and install Panda free antivirus.
