Dark, Streaming Videos

I run the latest versions of Firefox and Flash Player. I can not figure how, if any way possible, get the videos brighter. My monitors are as bright as they go. There are no settings I can find to help software wise. I have tried some online searches. When I play videos from Hulu (and it may be the budget of the movies, but still watching a bunch of people talking in a lit room should still be bright enough to see) videos are dark. Now, when Hulu has a commercial, it is bright enough. When I watch my stored movies (AVI, MOV, MP4), them bright enough. So, it is that every movie on Hulu I watch just dark in lightening (their budgets)? Is there any way to brighten them with some software in hidden settings (or freebie addons)?

Wanted to see if anyone has ideas or tips, or I am just watching simply low lighted movies? Thanks.
