Have you tried a Hardware scan to see if it detects a problem.

Under customization you can select Keyboard.

Also may seem silly but try this:

First, shut down the computer. Second, unplug the power cable and remove the battery for a moment.Third, press and hold the power button for about 60 seconds. After that, put the battery back in and plug the power cable again. Restart your computer and see if the keyboard is working.

Also you said you tried to install the ThinkPad UltraNav Driver for Windows 8.1 (64-bit), 8 (64-bit)
