Regardless of what a web site's terms may state, removing a watermark is a direct infringement on someone's copyright. You could be liable for damage if that owner chose to pursue the matter..
guess we were talking about different set of rules :-) I was thinking about the different licenses sites give on what you can and cannot do with their images when I made my comment.
