Skype - Video calling

Have been using Skype for a number of years to keep in touch with family members. Last evening while receiving a call, I was unable to turn on the video camera. We could see the caller and communicate but he could not see us.

After ending the call, a message came up stating that video calling had been disabled.. How can I enable the camera? Is this a problem with Skype or is it a problem with my system and camera?

Am running on Windows 10

Resolved

Sorry, but none of the suggestions posted were able to solve my problem with Skype. As a last resort, I went to my trusted tech support at Staples. After about 20 minutes. he found the answer. Somehow in the past few months, I must have accidentally put my laptop on "Airplane mode" which disabled the wi-fi connection on Skype to my camera. A simple solution!!

Thanks for the responses.:happy::happy:

I believe, the Skype is not given enough permissions to access the Camera:

How to control which apps can use the microphone
Go to Start , then select Settings  > Privacy > Microphone.
Choose your preferred setting for Allow apps to access your microphone.
Under Choose which apps can access your microphone, turn on or off the individual settings for apps and services.
How to allow a website to use your camera or microphone while browsing in Microsoft Edge
You can use your camera and microphone for websites in Microsoft Edge. However, even when your camera and microphone are enabled for Microsoft Edge, you will still need to give individual websites permission before they can use your camera and microphone. Here’s how:

Go to a website that wants to use your microphone and/or camera.
If a dialog box appears asking if you want to give the website permission to use your camera or microphone, select Allow once or Always allow, or close the dialog box to block access.
