Homogonising date formats

On my x32win10ProV1909 desktop, generally dates are shown in Austra1ian format, but when SEARCH (Cortana ?) reports a file, the date of 'latest modification' it shows, is in American date format. Can that be 'aligned' to Australian format ?

In the Windows Search box, type Region, click on the appropriate result and in the window that opens, make sure it's all set to Australian

There is a choice of country and a choice of language - set to Australia and Australian. In spite of that, if there is a date in SEARCH results - it is in American format.

There are settings within Cortana that might provide the solution.
If that doesn't work, I'm out of ideas.

In Settings, Language, I had not 'added a new language'; I have now done that, and Cortana no longer shows dates in the wrong format, [because it no longer shows dates].
